The GSA Geologic Time Scale

The geologic time scale is an ever-evolving reference that enables geologists to compare and contrast the relative and absolute ages of rocks, fossils and events recorded in the rocks. Nomenclature varies in other countries. In the United States, the Geological Society of America offers the most up-to-date time scale.
