Orpiment and realgar, from Shimen, Hunan, China.
Orpiment is arsenic sulfide, the gold colored mineral, famous as a pigment but toxic in powdered form. Realgar is the more orange mineral, another form of arsenic sulfide, also toxic in powdered form. These minerals were used as rat poison in medieval times. Handle with care!
