Whether you're looking for live music, theatre, cultural events or art festivals, there is almost always something happening in Taos and area each month! Here are some of the many events to look forward to; always check the source to ensure the event time or venue haven't changed.

The Albuquerque Fall Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show happens this weekend, October 2-4, 2025. Held at Expo New Mexico, admission is free. Get more info HERE.

The annual Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta kicks off this weekend, running from October 3 - 11. For more info, click HERE. This event sells out fast, and hotel rooms even faster, so book as early as the year before!

Oct 3-4 In Taos, this weekend the 4th Annual Taos Wools Festival takes place at Red Willow Park in Taos; admission is free. For more info click HERE.

Oct 3 The annual Jemez Valley Farmers Market Harvest Festival and the Jemez Mountain Trail Sale happen in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. For more info click HERE.

Oct 3-4 The Angel Fire Oktoberfest happens. For more info, click HERE.

Oct 9-11 Oktoberfest is celebrated in Red River; tickets are required. For more info click HERE.

Oct 10 In Colorado Springs, celebrate National Fossil Day at the Garden of the Gods. For more info click HERE.

The 34th season of the Taos Chamber Music Group kicks off October 10-11 with performances at the Harwood Museum. For more info, click HERE.

10/24 - 10/25, you can experience the Taos Mountain Balloon Rally.  For more info, click HERE.

10/24 Trick-or-Treat in the Galleries, at the Millicent Rogers Museum. 4 - 6 pm, free. Wear your costumes! Trick-or-treat, bubble party, and crafts.

10/31 The Taos Community Halloween Celebration in the Taos Plaza area - Most of the businesses in beautiful downtown Taos, including Taos Rockers, hand out treats from 3 to 6 pm in this safe community celebration of Halloween. There’s a parade and prizes for best costumes, too. For more information, click HERE.
