About Anyolite

Anyolite is a metamorphic rock consisting of a granular mass of bright green chrome zoisite with minor black (in fact very dark green) parasite (commonly both as grains a few mm in diameter), containing conspicuous coarse porphyroblasts of purplish red ruby which may be up to several centimetres across.

The name for this rock derives from the Maasai word for green, "anyole," honoring the language of the people living in the area where it was originally reported in Tanzania in 1954.

Anyolite is prized for its metaphysical / spiritual properties. It is held to balance polarities, harmonizing the heart and third eye chakras. The ruby stimulates inner fire, passion and courage, while the zoisite promotes patience, growth, and release. Anyolite is also known as a stone of gratitude, helping to transmute feelings of grief, despair, or anger into positivity and appreciation.
