Geology of Amber
Amber is a fossil tree resin; to be true amber, it must be at least 100,000 years old. This true amber has undergone polymerization, becoming significantly less soluble in common organic solvents, and so will not become sticky if wetted with alcohol, acetone or gasoline.
Composition: Amber is a hydrocarbon, consisting of c macromolecules formed by free radical polymerization of several precursors in the labdane family
Color: shades of yellow to deeper orange-gold
Diaphaneity: translucent to clear
Moh’s scale hardness: 2 – 2 1/2

Amber has a sunny, bright energy that both calms and livens. It is a cleansing stone, allowing the body to heal itself by absorbing and transmuting negative energy into positive energy. It assists with manifestation of the heart’s desire. It stimulate the intellect and opens the crown chakra. It transmutes the energy of physical vitality towards activation of unconditional love.
