Taos Pueblo Animal Carvings
Artwork by: Justin Gomez
Reminiscent of Zuni fetish carvings, Justin’s pieces celebrate Nature and the world of animals in the Southwest.
Justin Gomez is a native American from the Taos and Nambe pueblo tribes. He started carving when he was 14 years old as the second generation of carvers in his family. Like his father (Sidney Gomez) and his uncle (Eric Gomez), Justin hopes to pass on his knowledge to future generations. His style is both contemporary and traditional.
Taos Rockers has been the exclusive retail source of Justin’s work since 2013.
