Celebrate the Fall Equinox

The Fall Equinox is a time of balance (days and nights are equal) and of transition, also marking a traditional time of gratitude for the harvest. As natural light diminishes, we welcome the addition of light from other sources. Clear quartz, selenite gypsum, sunstone, and danburite are all energetic bringers-of-light.

The Fall Equinox is also traditionally the time for the final harvest of fields and gardens, the best is kept and the rest is composted. Gratitude for the abundance is another theme for this time of year. Citrine is the premier stone for both abundance and gratitude for it. The spiral beauty of ammonites remind us of the "horn of plenty" and this season's harvest abundance.

The Fall Equinox is also a time of transition, hot summer weather moving towards the cold of winter, the transition from summer vacation to back-to-school and back-to-work, from outdoor activities to more indoor activities, and to much shorter days.
