A spectacular specimen from a newly discovered deposit: Emerald green actinolite, from Avren, Krumovgrad, Kurdzhali province, Bulgaria. Actinolite is an amphibole. The crystals (in matrix) are up to 35mm (1.4") long.

Hand specimen: About 70mm x 50mm x 30mm (2.8" x 2.0" x 1.2").
