Ammonite Split Pair with Display Stand

A single fossilized ammonite (calcite replacement of the original shell material) has been cut in half, and the cut sides polished, to display the intricately structured interior. Individual chambers and suture shapes are clearly shown. Interior colors range from pale grey and beige to more amber-toned. The outer surfaces of the fossil often display subtle opalescent colors.

The sliced pair fits on the 4.5" x 1.5" stand, as shown. The stand is included.
