Description

Fossil ammonite Douvilleiceras, from the Cretaceous of Madagascar.

These amber to brown ammonites have been replaced by calcite and are polished to bring out their translucency. Some suture patterns are visible.

Miniature Specimen. About 35mm x 25mm x 15mm (1.4" x 1.0" x 0.6").
