Rainforest jasper, from Mt Hay, Queensland, Australia. This stone isn't jasper at all, it's a volcanic rhyolite lava. The colorful patterning comes from silica and impurities lining and filling in the gas bubbles (vesicles) in the lava. This is old-stock rainforest "jasper" from the type locality.
