Geologic

Tiger’s Eye, or pseudocrocidolite, is a variety of quartz containing silica replacement of amphibole fibers within the stone. It displays an iridescent effect called chatoyancy. Tiger’s eye is a popular decorative stone and makes attractive lapidary specimens when polished.
