Magnetite

Magnetite is an iron oxide mineral with formula Fe²⁺Fe³⁺₂O₄

It is one of the major ores of iron. It was originally called "lodestone" and can be magnetized.

Microscopic inclusions of magnetite cause the rainbow colors of rainbow obsidian.
